In 2015 at 19 she released her single here. This song received praise equally from critics and listeners. It peaked at number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The track is special since, in light of the Rap-Up interview that she did with her listeners were able to relate to her experience in learning to love themselves and doubting her. Cara is known for incorporating messages about wellbeing, kindness, and love of self in her music. The music she sings is reflective of her personal battles in dealing with anxiety and depression. In a Reuters interview, she describes the album as being half turbulent and half perfected. She claims she has grown through therapy, and urges those around her to seek assistance when necessary. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. The parents of her gave her an instrument at just the age of 10. This sparked her enthusiasm for music. When she was 13, she started covering songs she loved on YouTube for the purpose of showing viewers that she had the talent to be a singer and had the courage to pursue an opportunity as a musician. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather got her attention by a record label named EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write music for her.
